Girl suspect hospitalized in Xinjiang bombings

KUQA, Xinjiang  -- A 15-year old female suspect, who was injured while throwing an explosive in Xinjiang bombings, has been hospitalized, according to police sources with Kuqa County, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The teenager, known as Hailiqiemu Abulizi, was abandoned by her accomplices who drove away after seeing her injured by her own bombing.

Local police rushed the girl to the county's People Hospital immediately. Doctors found 17 wounds on her body, including fractures to the left leg and foot.

A medical operation was undertaken and she was now in stable condition, said Dr Jiang Weiliang at the hospital.
