Love-at-first-sight stray dogs woman's footsteps

After looking into the eyes of a young woman surnamed Gao on her way to work on Monday morning, a stray dog "fell in love" with her so unreservedly that it followed her for the rest of the day .

The dog was standing alone in a hutong near Gao's home in Beijing when they met.

"The dog followed me to my office, and I had to put it in a basement nearby until I finished work," Gao said. "I could not take it home because my parents are in poor health."

Gao is now surfing the Internet in search of a family willing to adopt the animal.
