56 trapped in mine flooding in South China

NANNING - Fifty-six people were trapped after a coal mine flooded on Monday afternoon in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the regional work safety watchdog said.

The flooding occurred at around 4:30 p.m. at the Nadu mine in Tiandong County. Rescuers have so far failed to contact the 56 miners underground.
