Mother dog has litter of 15 puppies

A Doberman Pinscher has set a local record for delivering a total of 15 puppies in 18 hours in Guangzhou's Panyu district.

The births occurred on June 19. All but one of the puppies has survived.

It is the second time the mother dog has given birth.

A litter of more than 10 puppies is considered extremely rare.

The national record is held by a Dalmatian from Fujian province that once gave birth to a litter of 17.
