The Youth League has sent volunteers to the remote western areas of the country, and to developing countries such as Laos and Ethiopia.
They serve as a vital group in helping the disadvantaged.

The nation's biggest volunteer organization, the Chinese Young Volunteers Association, is a unit of the league.
The league attributes its success to long-established credibility and extensive network nationwide, Li said.
Its guidance and influence in colleges and high schools are a boon to students and it is responsible for their participation in disaster relief and reconstruction in the quake-hit areas, Li said.
