STOCKHOLM -- Sweden's Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt left here on Thursday for China for an official visit.

During his stay in China from April 11 to 15, Reinfeldt will make a speech at "Boao Forum for Aisa" on the island province of Hainan, and will meet the Chinese President Hu Jintao.

Reinfeldt will also hold talks with his Chinese counterpart Wen Jiabao in Beijing, according to the program.

The main topics on his agenda will be climate change and sustainable development, the Swedish Prime Minister said in an interview with Xinhua.

"I will have discussions with Chinese leaders on the threat of climate change and how to create a more sustainable society concerning the environment, social and cultural factors," Reinfeldt said, adding that China has a key role in the negotiations on a new international climate agreement.

Sweden's Environment Minister Andreas Carlgren and Trade Minister Ewa Bjoerling will take part in the visit, as will a large business delegation.
