 Old Waibaidu Bridge removed from Shanghai's Bund

A barge carrying a section of the Waibaidu Bridge sails toward the Huangpu River in Shanghai, east China, April 6, 2008. The removal of the old Waibaidu Bridge was officially started on Sunday. The old Waibaidu bridge, once a symbol of the Bund area of Shanghai, would be temporarily removed during major renovation work of Shanghai's Bund area prior to the World Expo Shanghai 2010, and will be restored to the original site after its renovation.
