BEIJING -- PetroChina Company Limited reported Wednesday that its net profit for 2007 was 145.625 billion yuan, up 2.4 percent from a year ago.

Total output of crude oil and natural gas in 2007 was 1.11 billion barrels of oil equivalent, representing an increase of 4.8 percent from the year of 2006.

PetroChina is the Hong Kong-listed subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation, China's largest oil producer.
