Last Monday, three thieves snuck into a residential building in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province, and were set to carry off a haul of contraband loot.

However, a neighbor foiled their plans by calling the police, who sped to the scene and immediately grabbed two of the thieves.

As the arresting officers searched for the third member of the band, they climbed up to the roof - where they found the missing burglar clinging to a solar-powered water heater.
