Many curious pedestrians were attracted by the sight of two young women clad in only underwear and bras asleep in a bed in front of a department store in Wuhan, capital of Hubei Province, on Sunday morning.

The stunt was intended as a sales promotion for Dayang Department Store in the city's Hankou District.They were selling warm quilts.

The department store boss said sales of the quilts boomed on Sunday thanks to the special promotion. But the stunt inspired some disapproving whispers among locals.
