MOMBASA, Kenya -- A Taiwanese fishing vessel, which has been captured near the Somali coast this May and was released early this month, arrives at Mombasa port of Kenya on Wednesday.

The crew aboard the ship include two from Taiwan, 11 from the Chinese mainland and two from the Philippines. The waters off Somalia's coast lie close to crucial shipping lanes and are notorious for piracy, which has been rife since the country slid into chaos after warlords toppled military strongman Mohamed Siad Barre in 1991.
