Colonel Yuichi Tsubaki, Jananese Army Attache to China, said, "This is the first time China has invited us to observe. We are very happy and we hope to take this opportunity to enhance cooperation."

The observers will head for the Shenyang military area for a drill, code named "Warriors-2007." This is the fifth time China has invited observers to such an exercise.
