Fuzhou -- The 4th Fujian Online Media Tour kicked off in the capital city of Fujian Sunday, in a press conference announced by Vice Governor of Fujian Province Zhang Changping.

As part of the provincial government's efforts to present its economic development as the Economic Zone on the West Coast of the Taiwan Straits, it has invited reporters from more than 50 leading websites to attend this event.

During the week-long tour, online media reporters will cover the 5th session of China (Fujian) Technology and Projects Fair(TPF) which will be held from June 18 to June 20. Acting as a platform for high-tech exchanges, TFP has become is one of the most influential technology fairs in China.

"After four year's development, TPF has turned from a regional event into a national platform, "Zhang Zhinan, director of Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission said. He anticipated that 100,000 people will participate this year's event.

Reporters will also visit Ningde, a city located along the northeastern coast of Fujian province. It was hit by Typhoon Saomai last August, and reconstruction work is still undergoing there.
