The "Super Trumpet," so named because of its trumpet shape, welcomed its first visitors on Friday at the Chimelong Paradise in southern China's Guangzhou city.

The "Trumpet," with a diameter of 40 meters at the top, becomes narrower at the bottom, spinning the riders as they wind their way to the bottom.

The local Information Times quoted a rider as describing her experience as a wild ride in a tornado.

A similar facility, "Tornado," at the Six Flags Great America won the best new ride award at Amusement Today's 2006 Golden Ticket Awards.

The Guangzhou version is reportedly the first one in Asia.
