Following is a schedule of working sessions and bilateral meetings taking place during the summit of the Group of Eight (G8) industrialised nations in Heiligendamm, Germany.

0630 - British Prime Minister Tony Blair meets U.S. President George W. Bush

0800 - First working session, focus on world economy, developing economies

1115 - G8 leaders' working luncheon, foreign policy issues including Middle East, Iran, Darfur and Kosvo to be discussed

1230 - Russian President Vladimir Putin meets Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper

1230 - French President Nicolas Sarkozy meets Blair

1315 - Putin meets Bush

1400 - Second G8 working session, focus on climate change and energy efficiency

1610 - Putin and Sarkozy meeting

1645 - Putin and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe meet

1700 - Sarkozy holds news conference

1730 - Aperitif, working dinner for G8 leaders. Doha global trade round to be discussed

FRIDAY, JUNE 8

0555 - Sarkozy meets Bush

0630 - Blair meets Nigeria President Umaru Yar'Adua

0700 - G8 working session with representatives of African countries: Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa and African Union president Ghana. U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to attend

0815 - Blair meets Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva

0845 - G8 working session with the five so-called G8 Outreach countries: India, China, Brazil, Mexico and South Africa

1045 - Blair meets Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh

1100 - Working luncheon of G8 leaders and Outreach representatives

1230 - Putin meets Blair, after which Putin meets the president of Ghana, John Kufuor

1240 - Sarkozy meets Chinese President Hu Jintao

1300 - Merkel holds news conference as G8 president

1330 - Putin holds news conference

1330 - Sarkozy holds news conference

1400 - Abe holds news conference

1445 - Putin meets China's Hu
