Shanxi's second Online Media Tour draws to an end
Friday with a visit to the Qiao's
Grand Courtyard, the dwelling house of a big business family
surnamed Qiao in Shangxi province from the end of Qing Dynasty (1636-1911)
to 1930s.
The compound became a hot tourist spot after the
filming of a popular TV series named after it. The movie,"Raised the Red
Lantern",by Chinese director Zhang Yimou, used this building as the film's
setting.
