A junior college student jumped from the 13th floor of an office building and was seriously injured when she tried to escape from a job interviewer who tried to rape her at a job agency in Hainan Province.

Wu Chunhua, a 21-year-old student at the Huaqiao School of Economics in Haikou, fortunately fell onto a canopy on the third floor, but she still broke her spine and tendons on her feet.

The interviewer surnamed Li was detained by police. They already had Li on file as he was just released in October last year after serving an eight-year jail term for rape. The 30-year-old Li said he currently has three girlfriends, but prefers dating with unknown women for excitement.

And when Wu came to his office on May 11, the convicted rapist tried to commit the crime again.

After days of unconsciousness at the hospital, Wu woke up at last on Wednesday afternoon, and spoke to her classmates. According to them, she said, "I'll face up to the difficulties," and then fell asleep again.
