Shenzhen 'nail house' follows suit
(Guangzhou Daily) Updated: 2007-04-02 09:17

An isolated six-floor building stands in
the middle of a construction site in Shenzhen, a booming city in South China's
Guangdong Province in this undated photo. The owner of the building Zhan Lianhao
refused to go due to compensation disagreement with the developer. The local
court has urged Zhang to move out after 20 days. The 'nail house', as many here
called it due to owners' tenacity, has raised some eyebrows as China recently
passed the landmarked Property Rights Law. [Guangzhou Daily]
