A Hainan Gibbon laps its newborn gibbon baby in
the forest of south China's Hainan Province, the only habitat the gibbon
still survives in, in this photo taken on January 13, 2007. The Hainan Gibbon is
one of the most threatened species of primate in the world, with only 15
individuals, including the newborn, still known to exist in the wild, in
Bawangling National Nature Reserve. [Xinhua]
