A shopaholic woman in Hong Kong was recently sentenced to 200 hours of community service for buying HK$25,000 of goods with her colleagues' credit cards.

Her attorney said that the woman, 30, became addicted to shopping when she was a university student. She had tried to shake the addiction by giving her salary to her husband and even declared bankruptcy so that she can't apply for credit cards.

But the temptation became too strong after a co-worker, also a compulsive shopper, asked her to keep her four credit cards. She used

them to buy clothes and a cellphone. Later, she stole the credit cards of another colleague before she was finally caught.
