Mass killer arrested

GUANGZHOU: A man accused of killing five members of his family and one of his employees was arrested on Monday in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province, local police said yesterday.

Huang Wenyi, 34, is alleged to have killed his 7-year-old son, his wife Cai Qiuyi, his mother-in-law, two sisters-in-law and a woman who worked in his pharmacy, according to police in Foshan, Guangdong.

The killings occurred last Thursday in Nanhai district of Foshan city, local police said; and a local newspaper quoted sources close to the investigation as saying that Huang suspected that he was not the natural father of his son.

Police put Huang on a "most wanted" list and offered a reward a 50,000 yuan ($6,400) for information leading to his arrest.
