High-altitude mealtimes save giraffe's life

Zookeepers at the Chongqing safari park are spending four to five hours a day feeding and medicating a giraffe with Bell's palsy a malfunction of the facial nerve that means it is unable to eat by itself.

The complicated operation involves zookeepers suspending themselves 5 metres above the ground inside the giraffe's cage to give the animal food and medicine.
