An exhibition of terra cotta warriors and chariots from China's mainland will open on December 1 in Taichung City, the second such show in Taiwan Province, according to reports by Taiwan-based media.

Taichung's museum of natural sciences will host the four-month "Exhibition of Cultural Relics of the Qing Dynasty (221BC-206BC)".

It will feature 116 colored terra cotta soldiers and carts mostly excavated since 1999.

The exhibits will arrive at Taipei's Taoyuan airport, along with a group of mainland experts, on Thursday, and will be escorted to the Taichung museum by police, the reports said.

In 2000 and 2001, Taiwan held the first terra cotta relics show for about five months, hosting a record 1.65 million local visitors.
