Police detained an 18-year-old man, who had been at large for six months after injuring two youths, in a cyber caf in Guangzhou on Monday.

Xing, a school dropout from Dongfang, Hainan Province, seriously hurt two young men whilst fighting in a karaoke bar in Dongfang in April, and escaped to Guangdong Province.

Local police immediately started searching for Xing through QQ chat rooms after they learnt of Xing's craze for surfing the Internet and chatting everyday. Upon finding him in the cyber caf on Monday afternoon, Dongfang police sought help from their Guangzhou counterparts, who immediately arrested Xing.
