Chlorine hydride leak hospitalizes 84 in Shanxi

Nurses tend students after they are admitted to hospital following
a chlorine hydride leak from a local chemical company in Yangquan, North China's
Shanxi Province October 23, 2006. Eighty-four patients, including 71 students
and 13 adults were rushed to local hospital for emergency treatment after
developing symptoms of dizziness, nausea and breathing difficulty. All are in
critical condition, according to media reports. Human error is to blame for the
