In an attempt to save 1 yuan (12 US cents), a young man in Nanjing told police that he was robbed of a wallet and asked them to buy him a bus ticket.

Chen, a migrant worker, alerted police on Sunday that he was robbed of his wallet on Bus No 13 and asked them to help him home. Police then hastened to the bus station but found that there was no Bus No 13 passing the bus station. Chen was then taken to the police office for faking a robbery.
