The head of a renowned regional forum has ruled out the possibilities of energy crisis in China.

The secretary-general of the Boao Forum for Asia, Long Yongtu, told an ongoing energy forum in Beijing that China's need for oil only accounts for 6 percent of the world's market share.

He also attributed China's rising oil imports to the shift of global manufacturing industry to Asia from the rest of the world.
