A 19-year old woman has given birth to four babies within three years, in
order to gain passersby's sympathy and money, according to a Shenzhen Evening
News report Thursday.
While kneeling on the street in Shenzhen Municipality, the woman falsely
claimed to be from Hunan Province and that her husband died in a car accident.

| She was taken to the police
station on September 5, 2006. Police found 459.9 yuan (US$58) in cash and three
deposit receipts in her bag, showing deposits of 1300yuan (US$164), 1350 yuan
(US$170), and 1600 yuan (US$202) made on August 26, on August 30 and on
September 3 respectively.
The woman made 4250 yuan (US$537) within nine days, more than 470 yuan
(US$59) per day.
The deposit receipts are signed by a man named Jiang, who the woman said is
her husband.
She said she is from Guizhou Province and her husband is alive and healthy.
They have lived on her pregnancies and begging for three years.
She said she and her husband have no skills to live on and have received
little education, so it is hard to find a job.
The woman was examined in a hospital and the ultra sound result shows the
eight-month-old fetus is healthy and normal.
As there are no laws or rules prohibiting such behavior, the police lectured
her for three hours and released her at 22:45.
She said her husband has done nothing but holds his babies once in a while
for three years.
As more and more professional beggars walk the streets and create different
stories, kind-hearted passersby are becoming colder and more cautious towards
beggars after being cheated so many times.
