NANJING - At night of September 28, Nanjing Olympic Center became the joyful ocean. Over 60 thousand residents attended the closure ceremony of the 2006 China Nanjing World Historical and Cultural Cities Expo. Nanjing municipal leader Luo Zhijun declared: "The 2006 China Nanjing World Historical and Cultural Cities Expo rings down the curtain."

As the new bright spot of Famous Cities Expo, the first Nanjing Top 10 of "Cultural Famous People" and Top 10 of "Cultural Products" held the awarding ceremony.

Mayor Jiang Hongkun addressed at the closure ceremony. He said that this WHCCE lasted 7 days and put it over. 53 honored mayors gathered in Nanjing to promote the cooperation and friendship among historical and cultural cities. The WHCCE displayed the unique cultural charm of Nanjing and enhanced the international popularity of Nanjing.
