The archeological excavations of Lijiashan in 1972 have respectively uncovered a considerable amount of bronze wares of the Spring and Autumn Period and of the Xi Han and Dong Han Dynasties. The Lijiashan Museum of Bronzewares has thus come into being.

One of the unearthed bronze wares called the Statue of Buffalo and Tiger is very unique and delicate in both style and making, and therefore is of very great value as a piece of artwork. As the essence of ancient bronze culture in China, the statue is considered a rare national treasure.  [By ZhangChunyan ]
