Dove droppings send neighbours to court

A young man in a five-storey Shanghai apartment has been driving his neighbours crazy after setting up, but never cleaning, a shed for doves.

Subjected to moulted feathers and dove droppings, the neighbours tried to ask the young man to pull down the shed and stop feeding the 50-plus doves. The man argued that he was raising the doves as pets and his neighbours have no right to interfere.

The residents then sued the young man, gaining a court order for him to pull down the shed as it and the doves have disturbed many of his neighbours' lives.
