EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana on Sunday informed Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing about his talks with Iran's top nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani in a telephone conversation.

Li is accompanying Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao to attend the on-going summit of the Asia-Europe Meeting in Helsinki.

Solana expressed his appreciation to Wen's contributions to the success of the China-Europe summit and informed the Chinese foreign minister about the talks, which lasted more than three hours in Vienna on Saturday.
