Coal mine death toll hits nine in Hunan

The entrance of the Lianyi coal mine in
central province of Hunan. A gas explosion occurred at about 10:00 am on August
31. Four more bodies of missing workers were recovered, bringing the death toll
to nine. Five are still hospitalized. Workers' electric tools triggered the
