A man moves the beads of an abacus on a silver ring of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) with a steel needle in Huizhou County, east China's Anhui Province July 17, 2006. The 1.2-cc-long, 0.7-cc-wide abacus is smaller than the thumb, but has all the parts of a regular one. A special calculating tool in ancient China, the abacus has gradually faded away from people's life at a time when computers prevailed.
