A husband who is desperate to have a child asked to divorce his wife of eight years after she refused to have a baby.

The couple from Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, got married in 1998. However, the wife thought she was too young to be a mother.

At a hearing held several days ago, the husband agreed to withdraw his appeal for a divorce and solve their dispute through negotiations.
