Chinese stocks end 1.19% higher

BEIJING - Chinese stocks closed higher on Friday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rising 1.19 percent, or 25.86 points, to close at 2,199.42.
The Shenzhen Component Index increased 1.57 percent, or 137.5 points, to finish at 8,918.82.
