Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), China's largest aircraft manufacturer, made the debut of the metal model of Yangtze CJ1000A at the 14th Beijing Aviation Expo.

The engine, China's first commercial turbofan engine, will allow the homegrown large-scale aircraft, C919, to fly. According to the development schedule, the engine will be delivered to users in 2020.

AVIC International Holding Corporation, a subsidiary of AVIC, signed a contract with Boeing during the expo.

According to the contract, AVIC International Holding Corporation will supply structural components and assemblies for Boeing's commercial airplanes, including the 737.

"I would like to express my gratitude to Boeing for the businesses opportunity which will help our company to further grow," said Wu Guangquan, president of AVIC International.
