HK's goods exports slightly up in July

HONG KONG, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- The volume of total exports of goods in Hong Kong rose 1 percent in July from a year ago, the city's statistic department said here on Thursday.
The volume of goods re-exports grew 1.7 percent over a year earlier, while that of domestic exports fell 29.3 percent. Concurrently, the volume of goods imports grew 3.5 percent.
Comparing the first seven months of 2011 with the same period last year, the volume of goods re-exports increased 7.2 percent, while that of domestic exports decreased 13.2 percent.
During the period, the price of goods re-exports rose 8.2 percent, while those of domestic exports climbed 6.7 percent. The price of total goods exports added 8.1 percent, and the price of goods imports increased 8.4 percent.
