Gold price opens higher in Hong Kong--Aug 6

HONG KONG - The gold price in Hong Kong went up HK$50 to open at HK$17,630 per tael on Aug 6, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.
The price is equivalent to $1,899.01 a troy ounce, up $5.39 at the latest exchange rate of $1 against HK$7.793.
