Thailand's Massaman curry was crowned "king of all foods" on a list of the world's 50 most delicious foods on CNN's travel website CNNGo, while the Chinese Peking duck beats all other Chinese food to be ranked fifth, chinanews.com reported Friday.

CNNGo searched and collected food from all around the world and narrowed the list down to 50, so netizens could vote for their favorite food through an online poll.

According to the website, the maltose-syrup glaze coating the skin was the secret to Peking duck. The "crispy, syrup-coated skin" of the duck meat, served with pancake, onions and hoisin or sweet bean sauce made it a gourmet delight.

Egg tarts and French toasts from Hong Kong were ranked 16th and 38th respectively, the website reported.
