Beleaguered search engine Google, which is threatening to exit China over Internet regulations, needs to be more patient and flexible to situations if it wants to continue doing business in the country, according to a senior official from rival Microsoft.

Most Chinese as well as expatriates believe the country is rising and is progressing in the right direction, a survey has found.

China's foreign direct investment (FDI) rose for the seventh consecutive month in a row, albeit at a shade lower than earlier, the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) said on Monday.
