Hengdian World Studio, China's largest film and television filming site, is in Hengdian town, Zhejiang province. Every day, hundreds of young amateur actors go there in search of fame.

At a weird spot where the past and present seem to blend, a man might wear a Han Dynasty costume to play a palace minister in the morning and by afternoon, he's a Qing Dynasty soldier ready to fight on a battleground. By evening, he may be back to reality and take a walk down a modern street.

Last year, the film "I am somebody" explored these young people's lives as they struggle to find a foothold in the entertainment industry. At the end of film, some people leave due to its high stress, but more people stay to find new opportunities to achieve their dreams, like famous stars who won high position and great wealth.

Here are some photos to show what their lives are like in the place is dubbed "Chinese Hollywood".
