Domestic carmaker Geely posted a 13 percent gain in profit last year, Bloomberg reported recently.

The company's net income rose to 1.54 billion yuan ($181 million) from 1.37 billion yuan a year earlier, it said in a statement to the Hong Kong stock exchange last week.

Geely's vehicle sales increased 1 percent to 421,611 units in 2011. It has set a goal of 9 percent growth in sales to 460,000 units this year.
