Hong Kong stocks close 1.22% higher

HONG KONG - Hong Kong stocks rose 263.72 points, or 1.22 percent, to close at 21,926.88 on Wednesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 21,935.68 and 21, 718.81. Turnover totaled HK$64.74 billion ($8.3 billion).
