Newly signed overseas contracts down 5% in Jan-Feb

BEIJING - The total value of China's newly signed overseas contracts fell 5 percent year-on-year to $17.76 billion in the first two months, said Yao Jian, spokesman of the Ministry of Commerce, Tuesday.

During the January-February period, the total turnover of China's contracted projects overseas surged 5.5 percent year-on-year to reach $9.88 billion, Yao said.
