Chinese stocks fall for 3rd day

BEIJING - Chinese equities lowered Friday, falling for the third consecutive day, along with most Asian markets weighed by overnight Wall Street losses on renewed concerns about global recovery outlook.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.54 percent, or 13.93 points, to 2,552.82. The key Shanghai index has declined more than 22 percent this year.

The Shenzhen Stock Exchange was down 146.07 points, or 1.42 percent to end at 10,104.83.

Aggregate turnover was 106.18 billion yuan ($15.64 billion), up from 101.9 billion yuan on the previous trading day.

Losers outnumbered gainers by 707 to 149 in Shanghai and 847 to 117 in Shenzhen.
