HONG KONG - Hong Kong's Exchange Fund's foreign assets amounted to HK$1.93 trillion ($282.74 billion) in March, up HK$13.8 billion from February, the Monetary Authority said on Wednesday.
The Monetary Base, comprising Certificates of Indebtedness, Government-issued currency notes and coins in circulation, the aggregate balance and Exchange Fund bills and notes issued, amounted to HK$1.0237 billion.
Claims on the private sector amounted to HK$94.7 billion. Foreign liabilities, representing mainly obligations under repurchase agreements, amounted to HK$400 million.
