BEIJING: Renowned Chinese liquor producer Kweichow Moutai Co, Ltd announced Thursday its annual net profit in 2009 rose 13.5 percent to 4.31 billion yuan ($631 million) on strong market demand.
The drought in southwestern Guizhou province had not affected the firm's normal production and liquor prices had not changed, said the report.
The A-share price of the upmarket distiller edged up 0.82 percent to 160.06 yuan per share Thursday.
