Domestic logistics value up 15.6%

China's total domestic logistics value reached 44 trillion yuan (US$5.6 trillion) during the first nine months of this year, an increase of 15.6 percent from the same period last year, according to theNational Development and Reform Commission(NDRC).

Thefixed assetsinvestment in logistics-related sectors totalled 793.9 billion yuan, a 28 percent increase from the same period last year.

Transportation costs have witnessed a remarkable rise due to energy price hikes. China's domestic logistics expenses totalled 2.62 trillion yuan during the January-September period this year, an increase of 13.7 percent from the same period last year.
