Henan province announced plans to establish a comprehensive provincial database of cultural heritage resources and support the cities in becoming national models for cultural relic preservation during its government work report delivered on Monday at the opening of the fourth session of the 14th Henan Provincial People's Congress.

The report reviewed cultural achievements in 2025, including the opening of new landmarks like the Yinxu Museum in Anyang and the Dahecun Site Museum in Zhengzhou, the provincial capital. The province's culture-tourism integration initiative proved successful, drawing over 1.1 billion tourist visits and generating more than 1 trillion yuan ($144 billion) in revenue.
